How we do things...

As a member of the Baptist Union of Great Britain, Chipping Norton Baptist church is interdependent with other baptist churches and aims to be self supporting in regard to its finance and property and governance. Authority to discern God’s will for the life of the church ultimately rests with the Church Members Meeting assisted by a Diaconate and Minister.

Membership is open to all who profess Jesus as their personal saviour and Lord. However membership of the church is not a requirement or expectation for all.

We enjoy fellowship with folk at various stages on their journey of faith. We recognise that for some formal membership of the church may not be the most appropriate expression of their links to our faith community. We therefore adopt a "come as you are,when you can" approach to church life, we are fellow pilgrims travelling together.
